About us
A Place to Connect
Craftshop Orlando LLC is a private residence, event venue (and party planning committee of one) where we can celebrate.
Craftshop provides space to artists, teachers, club leaders, moms, rebels, poets, and politicians to meet in a private, neutral creative space where analog creativity is encouraged to unlock us from our daily digital lives.
Our Inspiration
The space is inspired by Camp Huckins in Freedom, NH where I worked as a Program Director and Counselor in the 2000s. My brother and I grew up every summer here for 10+ summers, under the pine trees on Lake Ossipee.
YMCA Camp Huckins has a cabin for crafting that served as a peaceful place to rest and imagine after swimming in the lake, jumping off the tower or doing trust falls in the Ropes Course.
If there was too long a line to become a sharp shooter at Archery, there was always clay, gimp and a friendly counselor at Craft Shop during Free Time.
Craftshop served as many camper's home away from home. We hope to do the same.

Do you need a space to host something?
The 1000 sq ft bungalow is located in SODO Orlando, Florida near 903 Mills Market - in a super convenient spot downtown. We are open for appointments daily (except when rented). The house comfortably seats 12 to 24 inside and up to 50 outside.

Upcycling and Craft Thrifting is Finally Trending
Come along with me, Caroline, as I learn how to make things - with my own hands and reclaim my joy ...and hopefully reignite my creative side as I try new things in the arts and crafts world.
Join an event at Craftshop where we'll learn how to actually use our sewing machines or give free workshops on starting an urban farm or garden, or how best to plant wildflowers or new trees in the city. Or just where to start if you want to help and be more neighborly.

Craftshop is supplied by products from local estate sales, online auctions, marketplaces and thrift stores. We also take donations of end of life books and magazines and give them another life as art therapy.

What helped me come back to life was the support of my friends, and art. Connecting to my childhood self and the places that made me feel safe.
